Give Voice to
Altrincham Youth Choir
Help us give Altrincham’s young people a place to sing, grow and find their voice.
Altrincham Youth Choir is being created for young singers aged 7–18 who want to develop their voices, their musicianship and their confidence alongside other young people who love music. We want to build something ambitious and lasting: a choir that gives young people access to exceptional musical training, inspiring performances and a genuine sense of community.
And we want to build it here, for the young people of Altrincham and the surrounding area. To give AYC the strongest possible start, we’re asking our community to help us get it off the ground.
There are three ways you can help
Back our launch
Option 1
Every voice starts somewhere. Whether you give £10, £25 or £100, every contribution helps us build the foundations of AYC - from rehearsal resources and music to professional musicians, venues, performances and opportunities for our young singers.
‘Back our Launch’ is the simplest way for anyone to support AYC, however much they would like to give.
Option 2
Give a young person their place in the choir.
We don’t want finances to be the reason a young singer has to miss out. Through our Sponsor a Singer fund, you can help cover the cost of a young person’s place at AYC, helping us offer bursaries to families who need them.
Sponsor a singer
£150
Funds a singer for one full school term
£300
Funds a singer for six months (two terms)
£600
Funds a singer for a full year of rehearsals and concerts
Your backing gives a young singer much more than a weekly rehearsal. It gives them a community, lasting friendships, vocal technique, confidence, and the chance to discover what their voice can do.
Option 3
Become an AYC Local Business Partner
Support young people, support Altrincham.
Altrincham is home to a brilliant community of independent businesses and organisations that care about where they live and work.
Partnering with AYC is a tangible way for your business to invest in local young people, help fund choir bursaries, and become a visible part of the town’s cultural life. We offer structured annual tiers from £250, as well as bespoke project sponsorships.

Where does my donation go?
Altrincham Youth Choir is committed to financial transparency. Membership fees support the day-to-day running of the choir, including artistic leadership and administration. All donations and sponsorship income is invested directly into the choir programme, helping to fund bursaries, specialist music staff, sheet music and licensing, performance costs, and rehearsal venue hire.
If you represent a trust or foundation, or would like to discuss sponsorship, a major gift or a legacy donation, please contact Artistic Director Cally Youdell at cally@altrinchamyouthchoir.co.uk.
